Automatic search for similar items in Wikidata aldatu

Hi! If we're speaking about templates and categories, then I could help. By my count there are some 10tk templates, that are also in English Wikipedia with the same name. I can connect them, but not right now - will probably wait some 2-3 weeks (so my to-do-list gets longer), hope it's OK with you. In those 10tk templates I counted only those, which are @enwiki and are not redirects there. In my current level of wikiguru it is quite painful dealing with redirects. I suppose you have taken some stuff also from Spanish Wikipedia, right? So I should also check it? And maybe some other popular Wikipedias here? But when dealing with categories (there are some 2400 unconnected categories) I need local help with translating. I will later give you a list of those unconnected categories and somebody who knows the language should guide me for popular items (like "(year) 2000", "2000 in music" etc.). --Edgars2007 (eztabaida) 08:51, 10 azaroa 2015 (UTC)

Here is the list of categories, that are not connected to Wikidata. It looks like it will basically be a manual work. Templates are more simple to connect because users are lazy and copy-paste from enwiki :) P.S. I don't know your Wikipedia rules, but lets keep this disscusion undefragmented, if it's not against the rules. Pinging me will be fine :) P.S.S. if you have some specific questions about Lua in templates, I probably can also help (I like to work with infoboxes - I'm something like infobox boss at my homewiki :) ). Thanks Edgars2007. Typo solved. About the categories... many of them are very local. Like "Buildings in this town" and won't find anything in other wikis. Templates I think it would be easier. About automatic infoboxes, I'm very interested in the topic, and I think that it would be possible for small wikis to be up to date with Wikidata. So I have quite a good knowledge of templates and parser functions, but I'm very lost with lua and with extracting complex data from Wikidata. For example, it would be very useful to extract data of items that don't exist but without the Qxxxxxxx format. -Theklan ·   ·   22:20, 10 azaroa 2015 (UTC)

To prove you, that I haven't forgot about you, some update. Well, I kind of found that piece of code, it's the formatStatements function here (OK, I understand, that it doesn't mean anything to you). As you maybe see, frwiki has a quite complex tree of Wikidata modules, which most probably is very good, but not good, when you need only something :) If I won't be able to get that function work alone, then most probably will ask frwiki author to get it. See some potential use-cases also for lvwiki. But anyway, at least at lvwiki I have done some nasty things - I just review Wikidata modules at each Wikipedia and then decide, if I need that version at lvwiki, because some functionality is better developed in only one version. OK, I think I have resolved that Wikidata problem (getting redlink instead of Qxx). Actually, it was pretty easy :D You can preview this code: {{#invoke:Sandbox/Edgars2007 | formatStatements | property=P138 | separator=<br /> | conjunction=<br />|formatting=normal}} at Coffee konderria (Alabama). OK, it isn't completely finished (formatting still needs to be done), but the code is ready. But what I need from you, is euwiki decision. What output do you want (if there isn't euwiki article):

  • [[enwiki link | enwiki link without parenthesis]]
  • [[enwiki link | en label]]
  • [[enwiki link | eu label]]

Everything is doable. I would suggest 3rd, but if there isn't eu label, then 1st. We can track down in category those items, which don't have eu label. Oh, and if there isn't enwiki link, then what Wikipedia(-s) should come next? Or we can then put [[eu label]] or category, if there isn't eu label? OK, I hope you understand, what I'm trying to say. Nik baita Windowsen. Python eta Pywikibot deskargatu eta instalatu ditut. Galderak:
  • Zein formatutan sortu behar da eta non ubikatu behar da user-config.py? Zer jarri behar da?
  • Hori egin ondoren, cmd ireki eta chdir erabili (bot-a dagoen karpetara mugitzeko) eta ya erabiltzeko moduan dago?

Aupa Theklan, oraindik ez dut lortu martxan jartzea. Orain arte hau egin dut: Python instalatu, core karpeta deskargatu eta "Mis Documentos"-en deskonprimatu, User_files.py sortu dut (zuk komentatu bezala) eta cmd.exen sartu naiz. Infotaula txantiloian norbaitek aldaketa egin zuen eta Donostiako Zinemaldia, NHL, NBA, NFA... artikuluetako infotauletan ere irudia birritan errepikatzen zela duela pare bat egun ikusirik aldaketa atzera botatzen saiatu nintzen baina alferrik. Irudia errepikatu ez dadin image = dagoen lekuan image1 = jarri beharra dago.

Alemaniako udalerriak (automatikoa) aldatu

Aupa Theklan, ikusi dut Xirkan ari dela Alemaniako udalerrien artikuluak eskuz sortzen (infotaula automatikoarekin) eta nire bot-arekin Alemaniako udalerriak azkarrago sortzen lagundu nahi dut. Bot-arekin hau sortu dut froga gisa: Absberg, baina ez ditu wikidatako datuak hartzen. Linking two categories to Wikidata aldatu

Hi again! I'm currently doing this. At least two problems, that I have spotted.

  1. some iw links are not valid, for example, this. Will try to provide list of them later.
  2. some articles now are linked to disambigs, for example, this one. Not so good :) I could try to give you a list of them if you could tell me, how to "reproduce" this category. All members of that category had this infobox?
