Holotheria ugaztun klado bat da, batzuetan infraklase gisa izendatua (sailkapenaren arabera). Mammalia eta Theriaren arteko leku bat izango luke, nahiz eta gertuago dagoen Theriak ordezkatzen duenetik Mammalia osotik baino.
