Julian Iantzi

Julian Iantzi Mitxelena, who was born in Kalifornia, in 1967, is a TV presenter.

Life

In the 60's, Julian's parents, Angel Iantzi and Txelo Mitxelena, emigrated from Lesaka to The United States, looking for a better lifestyle.They were there about 23 years, thirteen years grazing and other ten years in a farm. Their three children were born in Kalifornia and they lived in Dixon until they returned to Lesaka. There were two main reasons to return to Lesaka; on the one hand, that their family was in Lesaka, and on the other hand, that the children had to go to school.

When the TV presenter was seven years old, he could only speak english and basque. Furthermore, the Franco regime attacked the basque in Spain.

Work in the media

Julian's route on the TV started when he was presented to a casting of Euskal Televista. Then, Canal 4k gave him his first chance. Since then, he became famous presenting a lot of shows in ETB such as Basetxea, Begia gose, Sorginen laratza, La flecha amarilla and El conquistador del fin del mundo.

He also has been in Spanish channels like Antena 3 and Cuatro but he became famous thanks to El conquistador del fin del mundo reality TV show. In that show, the contestants have to deal with the hard weather, life conditions and hard events. The aim of the TV show is to bring the flag to the world's end lighthouse.
