Danny Boy edo Oh Danny Boy Irlandako abestirik ezagunena da eta kulturaren adierazgarria. Nahiz eta musikaren jatorria ezaguna ez izan, gehienek Irlandako musika dela deritzote eta "Londerryko haizeari" edo "Derry-ko hiriari, Irlandako iparraldean kokatuta. Lehenengo erregistroa 1885. urtekoa da.

1990. urtean Frederic Edward Weatherley (1848-1929) abokatu, idazle eta musikalariak abesti honen letra asmatu zuen beste musika batekin. Bi urte beranduago bere ezkonarreba Margaret, AEBtara emigratu zuen eta han musika entzun zien meatzari batzuei eta Frederic Edward Weatherleyk adaptatu eta bereala salmentan jarri zuen, 1913. urtean hain zuzen eta arrakasta handia izan zuen.
