Unibertsitateak. [[Burdinbide]] gune garrantzitsua. Industria (burdinbiderako gaiak, altzairugintza, [[labe garai]]ak, metalurgia, eraikuntza mekanikoa, [[porlan]]a, beiragintza, kimika industria) da ekonomia jarduera nagusia. [[Burdina]] eta [[ikatz]] mea garrantzitsuak ustiatzen dira hiritik hurbil. Monumentu eta parke ikusgarriek hornitzen dute Pretoria hiria. 1855. urtean sortu zuten, eta 1863an bihurtu zen Hego Afrikako hiriburu.
