English: St John's Church, Glynn. This small church, consecrated in 1841, is an excellent example of a building in harmony with its surroundings. There are wooded banks to the rear and, behind the photographer, lies the valley of the Glynn River. The dark stone gives the impression that the building was created with the landscape. There are some 1990's houses close to the adjacent graveyard (to the south) but they have - fortunately - not intruded upon the church or the serenity of the setting. |
