Wallis, i Rom, Neapel, Taormina, Syracusa och Palermo vid hennes vistelse i nämnda städer tillsammans med sin dotter och svärson, Wilhelmina och Walther von Hallwyl, dotterdottern Irma samt fröknarna Caroline Pflaum och Ida Uhse unde rderas resa till Rom och Neapel, genom södra Italien och Sicilien samt åter över Schweiz, 28 januari - 24 maj 1888. Förestående uppgifter lämnade med ledning av fröken Ida Uhses Reseanteckningar.
