Română: Stema comunei Chieșd se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat.

În partea superioară, pe fond roșu, se află un copac de aur. În partea inferioară, pe fond albastru (azur), se află o fântână heraldică de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat. Semnificaţia elementelor însumate: Copacul face referire la gorunul lui Mihai Viteazu din satul Colonia Sighetul Silvaniei. Legenda acestui gorun datează din perioada Expediției lui Mihai Viteazu din aprilie 1601, când îndreptându-se spre Guraslău pe Valea Zalăului a trecut pe teritoriul comunei Chieșd. Fântâna herladică simbolizează izvoarele cu apă minerală sulfuroasă din zonă, importante bogății ale subsolului.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.

  • The photographs of letters, deeds, documents of any kind, technical drawings and other similar papers shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright.

Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.
