Potrivit anexei nr. 1.7, stema comunei Sânpetru de Câmpie se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite, având o câmpie verde în vârful scutului.

Scutul este încărcat cu Sfântul Petru nimbat, având părul, mantia și sandalele de argint, nimbul de aur, fața și membrele de culoare naturală, iar haina roșie.

Sfântul Petru este acolat în dextra și senestra de câte un spic de grâu cu tulpină de aur.

În partea superioară, în dextra, se află un soare stilizat de aur, iar în senestra se află o rozetă de argint.

Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificațiile elementelor însumate:

Sfântul Petru, ocrotitor al animalelor, câmpia cu grâu, plantă reprezentativă pentru culturile agricole locale, precum și motivul soarelui stilizat reprezintă antroponimul localității și specificul economic.

Rozeta de argint stilizează o floare de vișin, cultură pomicolă specifică zonei.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
