LILLIAN GISH, born in Springfield, Ohio., Oct. 14, 1896, made her debut behind the footlights when six years old in The Little Red Schoolhouse." She was one of that group of players familiar under the direction of D. W. Griffith, and was cast in important roles in "Battle of the Sexes," "Home, Sweet Home, "The Birth of a Nation, and "The Lily and the Rose." A sparkling blonde.
