Nederlands: Maxim (Maksim) Gorki (pseudoniem voor Aleksej Maksimowitsj Pesjkof) [1868 - 1936] Russisch roman- en toneelschrijver. De naam Maxim Gorki staat voor Maksim de Bittere. Foto uit 1931 op het Rode Plein. Gorki in gesprek met Jozef Stalin.
Avel Enukidze stond ook op de foto maar werd weggeknipt nadat hij op 20 December 1937 was gefusilleerd wegens verraad.
