Location: Peel Island, Queensland. The pictured huts were constructed for the white male patients and there were eleven in total. They were each 10 feet by 12 feet, lined, ventilated, lit and had a window. They were furnished with a four post bed, spring mattress, table, chair and chest of drawers. (Description supplied with photograph). Français : Entourée d'eaux infestées de requins, l'île Peel, dans la baie Moreton de Brisbane, était considérée comme l'endroit idéal pour une zone de quarantaine.
