English: Cassillis Hotel and Cassillis Road. The flower bed beside the hotel is close to the site of a very old well, which was in use until the 1930s. When the well was closed off, the site was marked by a small floral roundabout. (Source: "Maybole - Carrick's Capital" by James T Gray). The roundabout was moved to the side of the hotel when the junction was realigned in the interests of road safety. |
