Statonek Ipar Amerikan aintzatespen handia izan zuen Tammy Wynetteren "Stand By Your Man" abestiaren 1970eko bertsioagatik eta 1976ko "Young Hearts Run Free" soilagatik. Arrakasta izan zuen Europan 1986ko "You Got the Love" soilagatik, The Source bikotearekin lankidetzan. Staton Musika Kristauaren Famaren Aretoan sartu zen eta Grammy sarietarako lau izendapen lortu zituen.[2]
