Seymour Martin Lipset

estatubatuar soziologoa

Seymour Martin Lipset (Harlem, New York, 1922ko martxoaren 18aArlington, Virginia, AEB, 2006ko abenduaren 31) estatubatuar soziologo politikoa izan zen. Lanik oparoenak soziologia politikoaren alorrean egin zituen, baina baita ere beste eremu batzuetan, esaterako, sindikatuen antolakuntza, gizarte estratifikazioa, iritzi publikoa, eta bizitza intelektualaren soziologia. Demokraziaren inguruan ere luze idatzi zuen ikuspuntu konparatzailetik. Gaztetan sozialista izanagatik, Lipset eskuin aldera egin zuen zahartu ahala eta neokontserbadoreen artean, lehenetakoa izan zen.
