Malvaceae
Dikotiledoneoen klaseko zenbait landarez esaten da. Zuntzezko zurtoina, izar-formako trikomak eta hosto palmatilobatuak dituzte. Loreak handiak, pentameroak eta hermafroditak dira, eta oinaldetik bat egindako estamineak dituzte.
Malvaceae (antzinako grezieraz: μαλάχη ,euskaraz horia) landare loredunen familia bat da. 119 genero eta 1.500 espezie dauzka. Kotoi-landarea, adibidez, Malvaceae bat da.

Hosto gingildunak eta ebakiak dituzte gehienek, estipuladunak edo txortenaren oinean hosto-txikiak dituztenak; loreak, berriz, banaka antolatuak eta handiak, eta fruitua kusku egiturakoa. Bederatziehun bat mota dira.[1]

Malvaceae gehienak belarkarak, zuhaixka eta zuhaitza batzuk ere egonda. Zuntzezko zurtoina, izar-formako trikomak eta hosto palmatilobatuak dituzte. Loreak handiak, pentameroak eta hermafroditak dira eta oinaldetik bat egindako estamineak dituzte. Fruitua kutxatila motakoa da.
