I suggest you to change the logo and use:

• http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8b/Icons-mini-arrow_down.gif

or

• http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/7d/1downarrow.png (bigger, so it must be reduced)
